WELCOME!

Occupy Everywhere Now is a book of lyrics for songs written about and in reaction to the enormous paradigm shift the world is going thorugh at the cusp of the 21st century. Undeniably, the planet is being rocked by social, political, economic, environmental and technological forces which are merging and influencing each other and we have yet to realize the implications of these forces interacting together.
The subtitle "Songs of Protest, Songs of Peace" is meant to highlight that some of the lyrics are Songs of Protest written initially out of anger at people and events--events such as the tragedy in Fukushima that we were warned about before it happened or anger at people like Hosni Mubarak who refused to step down when his own people asked him, peacefully, to do so.
On the other hand, some of the lyrics were initially conceived more as Songs of Peace
and were inspired by the many good people
and organizations out there who are really trying to make Earth a better place.
Albeit, sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the Songs of Protest and the Songs of Peace, but life itself is more gray than black and white. So, in the end, the lyrics should speak for themselves without too much explanation.
Our plan with OccupyEverywhereNow.com
is to find musicians to compose music for the lyrics and create performances that will not only entertain, but inspire and raise consciousness.
Art and real life have always had a strange way of having nothing and everything to do with each other at the same time and it is our hope that we can walk that fine line between the medium and message.
Your feedback is most welcome and appreciated.

This one goes out to Josh & Rebecca

Change your fuel change the world

Let the song of Freedom's emerald flag unfurl
